Create an international community of people living, rehearsing, and performing together, and something unique happens to them. Something transformational.
Then put this community on stage in a joyous musical celebration of cultures. Invite audiences. Sing traditional and popular songs. Dance. Play drums. Share songs about unity, respect, and love. And watch as something inspiring happens.
That’s how Sounds of Hope began, with a simple but powerful idea: Join people in a celebration of many cultures and they will come to love and appreciate other cultures.
Sounds of Hope, Ltd. formed in 1991 to produce a one-time project that we called Songs of Hope™. However, the first project was so successful that it quickly grew into an annual summer concert tour of songs and dances performed by children from countries worldwide.
The Songs of Hope™ project proved a wondrous beginning for us, a leap of hope into the world of cultural sharing. As we have grown, it remains our heart, generating each year a wealth of cultural materials, ideas, music, and activities – and amazing experiences with young people from countries around the world.
The organization uses this cultural treasure trove to create products – audio music CD’s, videos, cultural guides, teacher workshops, and other products and programs designed to bring the world’s cultures to anyone and everyone.
